William Levernier Professor of Economics |

William Levernier has taught at Georgia Southern
since 1989. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from West Virginia University in 1988,
his M.A. in economics from the University of Tennessee in 1981, and his BBA in economics
from Gonzaga University in 1978.
Professor Levernier's research focuses on poverty, income inequality,
sports economics, and sabermetrics.
His research has been published
in Academy of Information and Management Sciences Journal,
Atlantic Economic Journal, Contemporary Economic
Policy, Eastern Economic Journal,
Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Sports, Journal of Regional Science,
Journal of Urban Economics, Public Choice, The
Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, The Review of Regional
Studies, Social Science Quarterly, Southern Economic
Journal, and Urban Studies. He serves on the Editorial
Board of International Journal of Information and Operations Management Education
and The Review of Regional Studies, and previously served on the Editorial
Board of The Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice. Professor Levernier
is a member of the Southern Economic Association and the Southern Regional Science Association. |
