Creative Writing Concentration Curriculum

effective Fall 2009

 

 

I. All Common Body of Knowledge Courses (12 hours):

Creative Writing (WRIT 3130)

Introduction to Writing Studies (WRIT 3531)

Language & Linguistic Theory (LING 3630)

Foundations in Professional & Technical Writing (WRIT 3220)

 

II. All of the following (9 hours):

Poetry Writing (WRIT 4430)

Creative Nonfiction Writing (WRIT 4130)

Fiction Writing (WRIT 4530)

 

III. One of the following (3 hours):

Advanced Poetry Writing (WRIT 5430)

Advanced Creative Nonfiction Writing (WRIT 5531)

Advanced Fiction Writing (WRIT 5540)

 

IV. Any two 3000-level or above WRIT or LING courses (6 hours)
