College Courses Designed and Taught
At GSU since appointment to tenure track (1997)

Writing Project Invitational Summer Institute (EDS 7230), an intensive 6 credit-hour course for teachers focusing on teaching, writing, and research, modeled by the National Writing Project.

Creative Nonfiction (WRIT 4130), an advanced level elective writing course for upper level students.

Seeing and Writing (BHON 1101-1102), the year-long first-year composition sequence of the Bell Honors Program, the endowed honors program for Georgia Southern University. Team taught with Dr. Phyllis Dallas.

First Year Composition sequence (ENGL 1101-1102), including honors sections for both courses. These are standard entry-level writing courses that emphasize composition and basic research skills.

Regents Intensive Writing Review (RGT 0199), a course to prepare students for the state-mandated writing competency exam.

Basic Writing (LS 099), the course offered by Developmental Studies (now Learning Support) Department to prepare freshmen for core English composition classes.

First Year Experience (GSU 1210), the orientation course for students new to Georgia Southern, focusing on strategies for becoming a successful student.

Enrichment (GSU 1011), a one credit-hour elective course designed to acquaint students with the cultural community and outreach programs of the university.

Turning Points and Connections (GSU 2210), a one credit-hour interdisciplinary course focusing on major turning points in western culture and their historical consequences.
