Begin your revision notebook and Writing Log by carefully reading my margin commentary. How did my evaluation of your work match your expectation of your work? Did we see it the same way? Differently? If we saw it differently, what were the differences? Explain your reaction to my evaluation of your paper-- what did you feel like when you got the paper back?
Keeping track of what you have to work on in your writing is an important part of your work for this class. Like anything else, you must practice writing in order to become good at it. To start this practice, use the writing issues checklist I filled out for your paper to help you read my comments and to direct your revision work.
Use the checklist to keep track of what you are doing to work on each problem. On each checklist, write the assignment the checklist is for, the date you received the work back, what you did (and the date you did it) to address each problem and revise your work.
