Class Work
Monday of this week we will be working with your papers-- We will be specifically addressing the writing process. Bring what you have; if you have drafts, outlines, notes, whatever, bring it. You will each be contracting your schedules, arranging the work you and I have to do, and continuing to work with your peer groups.
We will decide as a class on Monday how we most need to use our time on Wednesday and Friday
Freewrites
You should have turned in your Sitt Marie Rose freewrites by now-- we have two freewrite assignments for Patchwork Girl:
- Discuss what this text is to you-- what do you "make" of it?
- Relate Patchwork Girl to Sitt Marie Rose-- you could also make important relations between any of the other texts we have read in this class, so if you are writing about another text and would like to use this freewrite to help you explore your own thinking about your text more deeply you may. I, of course, am most interested in the relationship between love of the stranger (Sitt Marie Rose) and otherness (Patchwork Girl), but you can be interested in whatever you like:)
