DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) contains the fundamental biochemical code for life. However, DNA sequencing --- determining the underlying composition of the DNA --- is complex and time consuming task. We are seeking for faster and more sensitive techniques for DNA sequencing. We also study the mechanism of DNA ionization in MALDI, ionization of DNA by dissociative electron attachment.
