Assignment:
Overview:
Your design project has two parts: first, redesign the organziation for a site's links (make sure it has enough links), and second, write up a two to five page analysis on design which could talk about implementing design principles, or the challenges of testing a site for usability or whatever you desire.
Part One:
Redesign: I want you to come up with a web page reorganization for the resources on my web pages (or for the resources on some other web page of your choice). I don't expect you to be experts on web design or to create web pages, per say though we will go over how to do rudimentary web pages right after spring break. Your project doesn't have to be turned in as web pages; it can be turned in as word documents or whatever works for you. The main issue is to have you rework the organization, thinking about the mental mapping/usability concerns that the usability studies readings and the design book give you.
Part Two:
Analysis: Write up your insights from having done this project. You can decide on the focus for this write up, but make sure to show off your knowlege about design issues/usability issues.
